Took me almost a year from modelling (modelled it by myself with screenshots from the game arkham origins) until i added the last glossy effects. I painted him with acryl.
printed with a craftbot 1st gen., i then upgraded to the craftbot XL when i already was almost done and sold the old one. for a short time, i could use both printers. felt pretty badass.

total printtime: 470h / almost 20 days
used filament: 3.6km / 12.3kg
number of polygons: 13'341'070 (yes, he's really really detailed!)

I printed Batman. In lifesize. Yes, I'm insane.

I plan to make some really nice, professional photographs soon.
Imagine standing him outside on a roof in the dark and taking a long-exposure with fullmoon...

Grüezi,
That is not only amazing, it is also insane: I like that combination a lot

As this is a gigantic print:
Which layer height did you use?
Were you able to print most of the parts in vase-mode?

Thanks a lot.
I printed at 0.3mm, like I almost always do. Before I started painting in grey, i did 2 layers of a white base coat trying to fill up the printlayers a bit. At some places, I ended up with painting up to 5 layers because or corrections and stuff, the printlayers were barely visible at those places.

I printed every piece in vase mode.

I recently made a black background because i wasn't happy with that fancy glittery wall behind this badass.

Wow, quite a feat!

How heavy is the finished Batman now with the additional paint?

Are you planning to add a live-sized Batmobile as well? :)

The Batmobile is what I am working on right now, I'll present it to you in summer.

just kidding. no. I'm proud of what I did, especially because even during the process I couldn't imagine it would turn out that successful. Maybe I'll do something else in lifesize in a few years, when time and money is around.
He weights 12.3kg with the paint actually - I don't know how much paint I used, but i bet I was at least a kilo.

Well, it's still an epic build, even without the car...

Easily on par with the Blade Runner 2049 props, if not better... :)
